No new pics!

I took tons of pictures this morning, but none of them have Nash in them! Oops!! He was such a good boy letting mommy play with her friend. Hmmm what's that banging upstairs? Ok quickly, here's one of Nash from the other day. He LOVES Eebee lately, and is so good with little babies too. Makes me think he'll be great with his little sister. Here's Nash talking to Eebee!

Frat boy

I'm looking good in my Tulane shirt!

Chug Chug Chug... don't worry, it's juice!

We've had a fun week! Talking and playing in the pool and doing the happy dance. Nash has probably picked up another 10-15 words in the last week including cracker, sippy, play, pool, and basically just trying to repeat everything we say. We also went to Whole Foods to meet some Top Chef contestants and had a lot of fun dinners out. We had some friends over this morning to swim, but Mariel got sick and just wanted mommy hugs. Maya put on her bathing suit for the first time and looked like she was having fun in the water! I didn't bring my camera outside, but did manage to snap a shot of Nash in his Tulane shirt and "tool belt" taking a swig from his bottle :) I am achy achy achy every night, but Nash is helping me out during the day by climbing up and down stairs by himself, with me right there to make sure he's safe. I am so completely amused by him! Can't believe how quickly he seems to be growing and learning (sniff sniff, smile and tear).

Lazy Summer Days

It was a hot, lazy morning and we let Nash do what Nash loves best, splash around in the water as long as he wants! His Daddy figured out how much he loves a watering can waterfall. Hope y'all have a good weekend!

Videos videos videos

I've been taking a lot of videos lately. Little man is cracking me up! He's so specific with what he says. See video.

We've still been exploring a lot too. Yesterday we went to a "welcome to St. Louis" party for Ray's work, which was a lot of fun. Today we went to The Mills outlet mall for Marji & Maya & Wendy and Brie & Alex. Can't say Nash was very happy to sit in his stroller and shop. He wanted to play on the big boy play area and it was tall and I was scared. I guess toddlers don't know their limitations. I wish I could run around with him all days but I'm definitely feeling all of 26 weeks pregnant! OK enough kvetching. Here are some more pictures of our beautiful baby boy. (Who seems less and less like a baby every day.) There are pictures of him playing hide and seek under a towel, sitting in his favorite place- his doggy bed- looking at his photo album, trying on a new hat from his Maeme, doing his best to use a spoon and feed himself yogurt, and some more.

Guess who can say his name??

YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYYYY! We just went through 25 words with Nash, having him repeat after us. I really feel like this last week or two has been so great with him repeating after me constantly and knowing what I'm saying, and he's such a happy guy. OK, so maybe this morning I thought he was testing me, and that wasn't so much fun. But he's smart. So I should expect him to do that. Annyywaay, highlight of our day, right here. Enjoy the video. Yay Nash!!

Using a spoon!

Here's some video from breakfast this morning. Very exciting! He looks like he's been working at this for awhile, but this is really only the 2nd time we're given him a good go at using a spoon himself! We also played this morning with Maya, Kevin & Marji and Brie and Alex... and Elmo. I pulled Nash's britches down a little bit, look away if you're offended, I thought it was cute to see a little tush hangin out. Happy 4th of July everyone!

A evening in the life of Nash's feet

I love my feet. I play with them all day! Maybe if I stretch I can grab mommy's camera with my toes. I think I'll try it.

Mommy knows she should tell me not to put my feet on the table, but look at me being a cute, silly baby!

Here I am deep in thought (temporarily distracted from my feet). Time to make a decision. Do I want to be a Warhol, or a Picasso?

Back in the car... Hello old friend!

You wouldn't want a picture of this...

Nash is doing things lately that leave me smiling and amazed. He's really figuring things out. The other night we were dressing him for bed and he had his shirt on and I asked him "where are your jammy pants?" Nash walked past the pants that didn't match, laying right next to him, and went to the laundry basket full of clean clothes and picked out the matching pants. On a different night we were sitting in his room and I asked him to go into the hall and bring me his jammies and he did it. This afternoon I was cleaning up lunch and he went and got the box of wipes and came over to me carrying them and grabbed his diaper! He was right! He's so funny. He sees things that I don't see. Almost every day in the car I'll hear him say "bbbbooo" with the B kind of caught in his lips, which means balloon, and I'll look in my rearview or side miror and see that we just passed a car dealership brimming with balloons. He makes connections that I don't make. It took me a good 15 minutes walking through Lowe's to figure out why he was playing with the paint brush on top of his head. He heard me say brush and thought it was a hair brush! Actually, he's getting so good at repeating me that I really have to be careful what I say. Last night he got pretty close to repeating an exclamation I shouldn't have said :)

Elmo Sprinkler!

LOVE THIS TOY! So much easier than blowing up the pool, filling it up, dumping it, deflating it, etc. Elmo's done it again. Nashy had so much fun! The baby girls Maya and Hailey stayed inside and played with their mommies while Brie and Alex came to check out the action outside. Here are some highlights.

So, what does this thing do?

OOoooh yay Elmo!

Nothing better than water spray on a hot day.

Can we do this again tomorrow?
