Drool Factory
I've definitely gotten used to walking around with big puddles of drool soaking my sleeve/strap/shirt. Nash lusts after anything put near his mouth, including his hands, my hands, burp cloths and pacifiers. I guess this means he's starting to teeth. It will be so nice someday when there is more than one baby in the family and I'll know what everything means. But our next baby will probably throw everything off and be quiet when they're hungry and tired and cry when they're happy. Or something. By the way, I brought my car in for an oil change this morning and the "car" they gave me for a loaner is a MINI VAN. Classic Mommy car! Please, Mr. Whitten, let my oil change go quickly, and return my luxury compact SUV.

FAN MAIL
We now have an email account for Fan Mail from this blog. We love to get emails and hear from the people who are looking at how Nash is growing! A wise man once said, "MY WEEDS ARE GROWING LIKE NASH." We like to hear stuff like this. So please send witticisms, compliments, suggestions, pictures of your own little ones, or just say howdy and let us know you checked out Nash's blog, to BABYNAP@GMAIL.COM.

Zodiac Baby
I got this super cute book called Zodiac Baby by Sarah Bartlett. Isn't it crazy how zodiac things are usually right? Here's the summary, "I'm really unpredicatable and love winding you up with me cantankerous behavious. I've a genius brain and love to be treated as an equal." HA! Bartlett says this about sleep, "Little Aquarius has no interest in the land of nod, simply because the world is such a fascinating place. He wants to see what's going on and right from the start 'go to sleep' is not a phrase he likes.... He's simply ahead of his time... he's still a little soul who needs to be respected for his extraordinary individuality." Seems right on for Nash, his only fussy time is when he's tired and then he cries and has a horrible time falling asleep. But then of course once he's asleep we forget all about the crying because he looks so sweet. He's sleeping right now, fell asleep in his carrier while we were out. I guess I need to take a picture of him to go with this! :) By the way, he always sleeps in this position when he's in the carrier with his hands tucked in at his sides. Maybe it's something all babies do, but since I've never noticed it before on anyone else, I think it's just one of those things that makes Nash so super cute.

Monogrammed Outfits
When we arrived at the Fine's house for brunch today, a handful of people asked, independent of eachother, if Nash was wearing another monogrammed outfit today. HA. I get the point. OK, so I think little monogrammed outfits are cute. And Nash has a few of them, and he wears them on special occasions. Such as Mother's day. And his uncle's rehearsal dinner. And his uncle's wedding. The answer, by the way, was NO he wasn't wearing another one. Here is a picture of Nash and Gabe with Nash in his monogrammed outfit. This picture cracks me up.
Nash Handlers & wedding weekend
I know the groom (uncle Eric) was the most popular guy at his own wedding, but I think it's likely that Nash came in a close second. I heard his name spoken by people unknown to me. That was weird, but also very cool. Appologies to people who didn't get a chance to hold him, and thanks to those who did! Thanks also to the Kinlands for including Nash in the slideshow at the rehearsal dinner, and to Eric for giving a few shameless plugs for Nash's website throughout the weekend. Congrats to Eric and Liz!!

3 Months Young
Nash's 3 month birthday was yesterday! We celebrated by having a happy day. No crying at all (and I reeaaaallly needed that). Here are some little things I love about Nash. He gets these great little dimples when he's about to give a really big smile, so you can always tell it's coming. I love his "legendary cheeks" as Elliot called them. I love his tummy and super soft skin, and his cute baby coos and squeels. I know this is all normal Mommy loving their baby stuff. But it really is more exciting than I thought. And I'm excited for this month, it sounds like the third month is when babies really start making some big changes. I haven't been posting as many pictures because I felt like they were probably starting to look the same. I need some more action shots! So I think I'll be getting some action shots this month. And coming up this month we have: Mother's day, Eric and Liz's wedding (and more visiting with cousins), Chris and Kat's wedding, a trip to see Grammy in Tallahassee, Stacy and Morty's wedding in Mississippi, and a trip to NASHville!! Just writing all this makes me want to take a nap. But instead, I'll take advantage of Nash's napping and go wash some dishes.

Tribute to Grandmas...
I know it's not mother's day yet and I don't know if there's a Grandmother's day. But since I'm looking at pictures of Nash from the hospital on his first day in this big world, I figured I'd put up some pictures of tiny little one-day-old baby Nash with his Grandmothers. They deserve it.
Oh and I just want to remind you, this is a baby and kid-friendly blog. That's all I'm going to say about that.

Nash & Her Majesty
We are sad to have had to break our engagement this morning with Her Majesty The Queen (yes of England, we're not talking about Godfrey's!) Nash's shots yesterday gave him a fever and he spent his 11 week birthday (today) recovering from yesterdays ouchies. Kia sang the National Anthem at the re-dedication of the Capital Building and we missed it :( Kia, we promise to be there the next time the state capital is re-dedicated! But by then you'll be charging J-Lo rates. Anyway, Nash is doing fine and his rep has this to say about the incident, "Our appologies to Liz and Kia. Catch ya next time."
