Busy days!

We've had Grammy Pratt here this week and time's flown by. I learned how to use my Moby wrap, took Nash and Margot for our first walk, brought Margot back to the doctor (she's doing great!), had lots of naps, lots of time playing and playing dress-up.
Today is our 3rd anniversary! And guess what? We went out last night without the kiddies! I mean, Margot's almost 2 weeks old now, so it's time she learn a little independence. It was great to dress up a little and get an awesome present from Ray (jewelry!!) and have a drink with dinner. YAY!!

And now our company/help is gone and I have a few more days with Ray, Nash and Margot, and Monday morning we'll be on our own. I'm excited and scared and I know it will be ok.

Sunday Morning with the RugPratts

Penguin kisses for Margot!
"Want to read a book?"
"OK Daddy, let's get this thing in tune."
"I have been laying around this place in my pajamas for a whole week. It's about time Mommy put some clothes on me!"

That's my name!

Thanks to Kenny, Leigh-Emma and Jack Jack for Margot's super-cute onesie and pants! Love it!! (By the way, if you click on the picture and make it big, you can see how blue her eyes are right now.)

A trip to the doctor

Margot had her first visitors this morning when Maya and Marji came to meet her. Maya looks like such a big girl next to Margot. Then Maeme and G took Nash to the Whittle Train Stop so he could play with Maya and Alex. I can only imagine the number of pictures Nash's Grandpa took of him.

We picked him up and had our first car ride with two little ones in the back seat! Of course I forgot to bring the card for my camera so there are no pictures :( It was a trip to the doctor, a flu shot for Nash and one week check-up for Margot. Turns out we're right- she is just a tiny little thing!
She weighs 6 lbs., 13 oz - 18th percentile!
Length 19.5 inches - 38%
Head circumference 14 inches - 59%
Her weight is down a little from her birth and she is slightly jaundice, but otherwise everything's good and we'll be back there in a week for a second check-up.

Here's Margot hanging out this afternoon with her Mommy and big brother.
Last night's sleep pattern wasn't quite as successful as the night before and Ray and I were awake for a few hours early in the morning. Now it's just after 8 and I'm getting ready to get in bed! Keep your fingers crossed for us that tonight will be better.

big tush little tush

Look at the huge difference in booty size. Nash is such a big boy!!

Here's Margot after her 2nd bath at home with her hair curled up on top of her head. She asked me to take the picture slightly out of focus, so you can experience the world through her eyes.

So thing are busy and going pretty well. Margot woke up every 4 hours last night so I felt well rested this morning, and Ray got to sleep well too. Keep your fingers crossed for us that this pattern continues! Our friends are coming back from Florida today and I know Nash will be excited to see his buddies again soon, and so will I! Tomorrow we're bringing Margot and Nash to the doctor for her one-week check-up, and Nash's flu shot.

And finally, here's a little snippit of what Nash has been up to. He's taking full advantage of having his Daddy home to start his daily physical fitness.

Laissez les bon temps rouler

Look who's still here? Is she STILL sleeping? When do we get to play? Do I ask too many questions?
Ahhhhhh... every morning should be like this.
Mommy takes one of these when she goes out, and Daddy wears these shoes. I'm all set, let's roll!

It's fun times at the Pratt household. Of course I don't have any time to talk about it now, because I should wake up Margot and feed her before Nash wakes up from his nap so we can play when he comes downstairs :) Write later. For now, cute pics, huh?

Sleepy baby

Nash is excited that he has a little sister and doesn't want to sleep, and Margot is excited that Mommy and Daddy are such good swaddlers and wants to sleep all night long! Last night Margot ate at 7, and I thought she might eat again at 10. But then when I went to bed at 9 she was awake, and I prepared myself for the dreaded first (sleepless) night home with Margot. But after she ate and went back to sleep, she slept until 4:00!! And then again until 7:30!! Yipeeeeee, that wasn't so bad at all. She is such a strong eater, I think she's just able to eat enough to keep herself going for awhile. What a good girl.

Here Mommy, Daddy and I got these balloons for you!

Look deeeep intoooo my eyes... you are falling in love with me...

You want me to let you sleep again tonight? OK! Let's sleep! I'm ready!

Look at my Daddy, wrapped around my finger!
Zzzzzzzzzzzzz, I sleep a lot.
Yay! Kisses from Nashy for Margot!

Margot's here! She was born 10/17 at 11 am, weighing 7 lbs, 3 oz, and 19 inches long. She's a tiny thing! Labor and delivery went well and was QUICK- we were all anxious to meet eachother. We spent about 27 hours in the hospital yesterday and came home in the afternoon to play with Nash and let him say hi to his little sister.

Is today the day...

Nash gets a little sister?? Maybe! We're going to the hospital tonight at 8pm and then, hopefully quickly, we'll have a baby girl!! Yippeee! I know, I'm not celebrating just yet. But the we're all excited and nervous and can't wait. We went to the zoo this morning to do some walking and let Nash tell us the names of the animals he usually sees in books. It was great! He knows 'raffe for giraffe, lion, turtle, monkey, sssss for snake, birdy, "whoo whoo" for owl, piggy, fish, ribbit... that may be it. Anyway it was a lot of fun. And his Maeme took him for a ride on the carousel and he looked like he was having such a great time!
Here were are last night- hair messy from playing- with big smiles.

And here are Nash and his G, ghouling around.

Quality time with the big bump

Should be any day now, Mommy's lap will get bigger again and have more room for me. Right??? (Yes, that's my little sister I'm patting.)
See? Two of us can fit here just fine... I'm not worried! Do I look worried?

See this big smile? I do this a lot when Daddy's around.
Daddy, you're so funny!

Yay for Halloween!

We went to a little Halloween party Sunday night that was so much fun! What is better than dressing little munchkins up like animals, and characters and sitting around and eating yummy food and pumpkiny treats? The day could have only been better if the weather had been more cooperative- it was 80 degrees outside! I bet Halloween costumes aren't made of fleece in Florida.

Otherwise, we are trying to take it easy and get last minute errands done before we have another baby! At my appointment yesterday the doctor said it could be any time. I think we still have a few days, but I'm definitely pushing to finish up projects and errands I've been putting off. Mostly I think Ray and I are trying to absorb every second of time we have alone with Nash. I feel tired but good, most days. Night are hard- I'm ready to curl up and snuggle and fall asleep in Nash's crib with him when he goes to bed at 7:30 every night. I get through the day by drinking. Usually one iced chai, and about 15 glasses of Crystal Light lemonade. And soon I'll trade indigestion for sleepless nights and not one, but TWO of the best blessings in the world!!! (I am REALLY getting cheesy in these last days of pregnancy!!!)

Yertle and Yoda sitting in the Halloween Balloon Patch

Daddy's silly- his beard tickles me!

I like to give him big hugs anyway. Mommy's teaching me to be a great hugger!!

Not the prettiest picture, but here I am with my new haircut, looking curvy and about to pop at 37 weeks.

CHOO CHOO!!

Thanks to Brook, we have a great new play-spot to add to our list. And it's near our house too! It's a model train store, made for the little guys to play in and have a blast.
Can I bring this home with me?
Nashy with his friends James and Alex. (Maya and Keira were also there, but they were busy playing with their Mommies.)

Flying by...

At the end of every week I can;t believe how fast the last week went by and how we'll have a baby girl before I can blink and Nash won't be our only little one. He is the most amazing little boy; happy and playful, energetic, talkative, responsive, obedient, and cute as he could be. He has his moments, few and far between. Mostly I always think about how lucky we are. Here are a few photos from last week that make my heart melt.

All dressed up for Rosh Hashannah!
Love this sweet face.
"Here Mommy, these are for you!"
