Practice Makes Perfect

In case you were worried that we play all day long, I'm posting a picture of Nash concentrating on fine-tuning those motor skills with some chord exercises. I'm very strict with him, and make him practice every day. I think I caught him here in a rare break-out moment.

Got Peaches?

As you can see from the picture, spoon feeding is swell. Nash tried peaches tonight, and he liked wearing them. Not sure if he liked eating them. Pretty cute though.

Born at the right time

We were in Bethesda on Tuesday and visited with Maeme and G, and Robin and Gabe. I took tons of cute pictures of them. I like these because it looks like they're watching a scary movie!
Nash and Ray and I all had sweet potatoes for dinner last night. We like our little family. Nash has also been inspiring my cooking! I was sauteing some zucchini, mushrooms and onions and singing Sesame Street to Nash, and I decided to add sesame seeds to my veggies. It was a good decision.
5 months next week! I should probably go ahead and make an appointment for his 6 month vaccines. Anyway, I'm thinking about planning a half birthday party for him, since I've already started thinking about his first birthday party. And a half birthday party might mean a new outfit, and that's always good fun!

Sweet potato Gerber and shut my mouth

Guess who's eating "solid" food!!? Nash took to it like a champ! Maybe it's the deliciousness of the escargot we were feeding him. All we had to do was the little airplane spoon and he sucked down the whole snail! Ha! Just kidding, of course. He did LOVE the sweet potatoes, opened his mouth wide for the second bite, and third and fourth. Fun!!

For Uncle Freddy...

This little travelin' man has been up and down across the country in the last two weeks! We weren't planning on going to NY this weekend, but we had to. So we did. And again Nash got to his aunt and uncle, Grandparents, Sara, Pam, Richard, Allison, Larry, Mercy. And finally, he met Nora. He has also now officially spent too much of his young life in New Jersey! Here's a picture of his reunion with Mocha. Very happy to be home!!

Nash is 15.5 lbs., which qualifies him to be shipped as "bulk"!
He's also 25.5 inches long. Happy 18 week birthday!

Mama's little baby loves shortenin'

Nash has now circled through the South, expanding his circle of loyal blog viewers to residents of Florida, Mississippi, and Nashville! He's returned from his travels, having now experienced gator country, his first viewing of the Mighty Mississippi, his 4th wedding, and the town named after him, NASHVILLE. He's giggling, playing with his feet and, wait, he's telling me to tell y'all something. It sounds like this, "mmmmm ahmmm mmmm he YAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH WEEAHHHHH ah huh YAAAAH eh heh eh heh mmmmmm bbbbbbbbrrr MMM neeh neh." Did you get that? Nash is now available for speaking engagements. See his agent for details.

Blues Baby

It's 613 miles to Nashville. I've got a full diaper, half a pack of baby wipes. It's dark out, and I'm drooling. Hit it.

Left Nash with a babysitter tonight for the first time. One wedding, one birthday party and three visitors later I'm amazed I made it thought without him next to me every second. By the way, in the picture of him in his crib, his head started out where the pacifier is, I don't know how he scooted himself around, but he's doing that now too.
