Nash's Great Laugh
Here's a video from earlier tonight. Nash gets into giggle fits whenever he feels like it. We have no idea what we're doing that's making him laugh, but we always keep doing it! In this video Nash was watching Ray shake his head back and forth. Before I ran to get the camera we were all laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes!
Stand in the place where you live
Here's Nash standing! Last night Ray was holding his hands while he was standing up and he forcefully threw Ray's hands away and stood on his own. Triumphant! He likes climbing up but doesn't seem to want us holding him up. He's really great at giving it a shot on his own. He loves standing up in his crib and falling on his little tush. Weeks are going to fast, I guess because of the holidays and my work schedule. Thanksgiving seems like such a long time ago already. I'll try to post more. Happy almost December!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Let me preface this by saying that while we've had a very exciting, fun week with Nash, Ray and I have also had our minds on something so sad it's hard to even think about. Ray's adorable 2 year old nephew Parker has been sick with leukemia and passed away this weekend. If anyone is inclined, his family is asking for donations to be made to Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Volusia County, c/o The Underwood’s, 305 E. International Speedway Blvd, Suite 2-197, Deland, FL 32724. On to Nash. Nash is so strong and learns so quickly, it seems like there is a new accompishment every day. He is chatting away saying Mama, Dada, baby boy, and me me me me me. He signals when he wants something. He drinks from a sippy cup and through a straw. He pulls himself up on everything and crawls into every space. He wants to eat whatever we're eating. He loves to go on long walks to the river and sit on the rocks and let the sun shine on his face. He loves to shop! He sits in his stroller and takes in everything around him. He's such a smiley guy too. He always returns stranger's smiles. When we go out to eat he sits in his high chair and eats cheerios and plays. He's just so awesome and so easy. We're so lucky!! Here are a bunch of pictures to make up for lost time. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Nash can't wait to eat smoked turkey and sweet potatoes and stuffing and cranberry sauce. MMMMmm. We're sorry we didn't get to go to Florida so see Grammy and Grampy and to introduce Nash to his great-Nanny, but we'll make it down soon!

9 month update
I don't have any new pictures because I was working today and got home late :( But I'll give the stats. We went to the doctor Tuesday for Nash's 9 month check up. He weighs 21 lbs, 12 oz, which is 75th percentile, and is 29.75 inches long, 92nd percentile. Head circumf. is 18", 65th percentile. Yay for growth!

Big Day!
We had so much fun today watching Nash! He's crawling around, then wiggles around to a sitting position, then pulls up on whatever he's near and tried to stand. And if he falls back, he doesn't cry when he bonks his head. He rolls back onto his tummy and rolls again! I think he's spending more time crawling on his knees after watching Eliza crawling around on hers. Maybe he's almost done with Commando-style? Nash is going to the Doctor Tuesday for his 9 month check up.

Camera's Back!
It's back from repair so I can continue taking thousands of pictures a day. Here are some photos of Nash in a few snazzy outfits. Also, I've just gotten into shoes for him. He has had the Umi Puggles, but I never realized the delightfulness of Robeez until this last week. Kind of funny though, people say they're so great because babies can't take them off. That's true, but they can still put them in their mouths! Anyway, Nash has 2 pairs of Robeez now. One with Mocha-looking doggies on them, and these :) And look how blue those sparkling eyes are!

Feeding myself
For about the last 2 weeks Nash has been trying to grab his bottle from me every morning, and playing with it when he's done eating. Tonight I let him go ahead and drink his bottle holding it by himself. He did great! We've been practicing more with the sippy cup, so I'm sure that helps too. Also, we just put Nash to sleep an hour later than usual, so hopefully he'll adjust to the time change. He wanted to wake up this morning at 6:20, and we went ahead and got up with him. Not much else going on this week. It'll be my 2nd week at work. Yes, I survived the first. And it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, except just leaving him with Maryah to babysit was hard. This week we'll have in-house babysitters. I think tomorrow we're going to go to the outlets in Williamsburg.
