Lions & Tigers & Bears!
YAY! We love going to the zoo!! It's so nice that we're all here now, and not pre-occupied with home projects. There are definitely improvements we could be making to our new house, but for now I'm very content to let the little things go and just spend time together. Here's how weekend conversations go at our house, "What do you feel like doing today?" "I don't know, do you want to go to the botanical gardens?" "OK. Or we could go to the zoo." "OK! Should we call the Finkelsteins and see if they want to go?" "OK. And let's stop at Starbucks on the way." Those conversations always sound pretty much the same no matter who's saying what. Yes, we call the Finkels the Finkelsteins. It's fun. So here are pictures from this morning at the zoo! We didn't see the baby elephant, but we did see the baby giraffe- so cute!

Oui Oui! It's been a good day!
Nashy looks like a French Sailor today and I like it. Since he hasn't been very happy about getting his afternoon nap, I decided to try and wear him out this morning. We went to 2 parks today and played outside the house before and after lunch and... it worked! Here's what the early part of our morning was like.

Botanical Gardens
What a great way to spend Saturday morning! Oooooh I love it! It's beautiful there! Why can't I garden? Maybe Nash will be a landscape architect and have his own show on HGTV. That'll be my excuse for hauling him again and again to the botanical gardens and butterfly house. We had a great time with Marji, Kevin and Yaya. Just one more reason to like St. Louis...

Butterfly House
We've spent the last two mornings at the Butterfly House. It reminds me of Callaway and that makes me feel happy and peaceful. It's even better being with Nash, watching him point at the butterflies and look all around and walk (run) through the gardens. I miss Richmond every day, but have to admit there are so many fun things to do here. I know I'm doing them all now because it's new, but we've really liked scouting things out and meeting new friends. Can't wait to do them all with Ray too once he's back from Richmond for good!

Adventures at West County Mall
Nash LOVES the play area at the mall, and it's a great size for him. He was missing his Dada today for Father's Day (since Ray's in Richmond) so Nash stayed busy playing - mostly in the cars - and with Kevin, Marji and Maya "Yaya" in the lovely air conditioned play area.

Lions and Tigers and Bears!
We went to the zoo this morning!! It was a last minute trip, and a great idea. The zoo opens at 8am here so we got there early after dropping Ray off at work and it was only 75 degrees outside and we got to ride the train and see the sea lion show and all for free since we were given a membership by our realtor! I still think Nash loves the penguins the best. And of course Mom's a sucker for the pictures they take of you at the sea lion show- there were two pictures, a good one of me, and a good one of him. Sigh, I continue to sacrifice for Nashy. By the time we left it was almost 90 degrees outside and Nash was ready to nap the whole way home. I think maybe we'll go back tomorrow, there's so much more to see!
