Bum Genius
You might be surprised to learn that I've started using cloth diapers for Margot. It's something that I've been thinking about for a few months and finally decided I should go for it. When I mentioned it earlier, Ray was not 100% on board. I figured this would be my thing, and he could continue to use disposables. I was also not convinced that I could really get into it. I mean, it's icky, right? The thing is, it's not icky. I mean, no more than changing any diaper. And I kinda think they're cute. Really. They're bright and fun, and super soft on the inside and they get white white white after being washed. Ray doesn't seem to mind it either! I think we all have these pictures in our head of old school cloth diapers - rags with safety pins. These are an all in one, size adjustable diaper. I figure we'll save about $2500 dollars over the course of 2.5 years!! I don't think I'm the cloth diapering "type" but it turns out I am. If you're thinking about it or have ever thought about it, I would definitely encourage you to try it!

we LOVE bum genius. and isn't it super easy? it's truly no big deal. we save a ton of money and it is better for the environment. plus they feel better against her skin and they wick moisture so fast she never knows she has a wet diaper. a winning situation i'd say. i can't wait to get back to them when sabine's out of the cast. what soap do you use for them? we like charlie's laundry soap but i'm always interested to see what other people like.
Nice job on the cloth momma!
